Solar Symphony

Orchestrating the Solar System

Back at Fall 2022, I had a thought of how to interact with the nine planets themselves. Referencing one of my previous artworks, Blue Moon Tune of my main portfolio, my only answer was music while I pose as a conductor holding a baton on my right hand instead of listening to music with my headphones. Once again as a photo manipulator, I took selfies and created the backgrounds from scratch. The most challenging step, other than merging the background with the music lines (with the Planets' symbols hidden), was drafting and designing the nine planets from scratch as best as I could so that the designs and colors look alike from the images I've looked at, but not match exactly since I am no where at that level yet.

WARNING: No audio intended. I'm just combining the theme of music itself with space.

I apologize if this disappoints you...

How are the pieces named?

I was researching music terms and thought of which terms referencing the Sun, Earth, and the 8 other planets (who are named after Roman Gods) could fit well. At the same time, I thought of naming the titles using alliterations (repetitions of consonant sounds) and an assonance (repetition of a vowel sound) as an eccentric idea of handling art and grammar.

My journey as an artist continued as the beauty of outer space merges with the enjoyment of music.
